A Bend Restrictor is extremely beneficial on the gauge end.  It acts as a sleeve that will slide over the crimped ferrule and fitting collar to provide an additional layer of protection to your gauge.  We all know that gauges get run over, thrown on the ground, stepped on, etc.  Having the additional layer of protection over your fittings will help prolong the life of your parts.

If you have retractable reels the bend restrictor on the reel end will help with the rub on your hose to reel as it pulls and retracts.  You can cut the bend restrictor on the reel end in half to adjust it to either side of your reel.
